Allow your opposites to exist freely, because when you do, they don’t have power over you anymore and by setting them free of your judgment, you free yourself.
By opposites, I mean anything you dislike, anything that you avoid and anything that you wish you could change, anything opposite to your view of how the world and reality should be.
Usually we know clearly what we want, and even when we don’t know what we want, we certainly know what we don’t want. We gather information about the things we dislike all the time: out of previous personal experiences, out of other people’s experiences, when we watch the news or read the paper, by watching a movie or even when we walk down the street. We consciously or unconsciously point out all the things we don’t like.
And that’s ok, as long as these things don’t evoke an emotional reaction that mess up our vibrational signal. But they often do.
Nightmare at Costco’s
The universe is like a supermarket where you can find absolutely anything you wish. There is an endless supply of goods at your disposal. All you have to do is ask for it.
So you know the goods you have come to get and you walk through the supermarket looking for them. But as you walk, you notice some things you don’t need, things you have not intended to take home and you even notice some things that you don’t like. And then you get angry, how could the management allow such things to be displayed on the shelves? And you demand that the things you don’t like be removed immediately, but no one seems to listen to you, there is no answer from the management and you just keep seeing more things you don’t like on the shelves. You are so angry and disgusted that you even forget what you came to get.
Nobody pays attention to the fuss you are doing, so you decide that you are going to take justice into your own hands and start by taking out all the these things you don’t like. But there are so many… so you feel frustrated and a sense of failure invades you.
Is just too much. You can’t get rid of everything you don’t like so you just walk by next to all these things feeling bitter and disappointed. Is just not fair, right? And even worse, you have just seen someone grabbing one of those horrible things you don’t like. What is he thinking? You must go and talk to him about all the reason what he shouldn’t like that, but basically because you don’t like it.
Let it Go
No one is throwing anything into your supermarket car. Everything in your life is there because you put it there by allowing your emotional vibration to swing in a particular direction.
Understand that the fact there are so many things, experiences and circumstances in life doesn’t mean you have to experience them if you don’t want to. Allow others to do, or be or have anything they want, because in the end by intending to prohibit it or trying to get rid of these things, all you are doing is inviting the into your reality.
Getting mad at somebody else because the way they live their life is not a match with your values or principles is as dumb as getting mad to the supermarket management because they have out for sell a jelly brand you don’t like. If you don’t like just don’t buy it and get going with your life.
Freedom
I am not saying that the reasons you might have to dislike something or someone are not valid, but the truth is that the only truly affected person by judging is yourself.
Allow all these people and things and experiences to exist and acknowledge that the fact this data comes into your reality doesn’t not mean the actual people, things or experiences should follow. The data serves only as informational purposes and no emotional response is evoked out of you because you have allowed it to exist free of judgment from your part.
Excellent words.
Excellent analogy! Where’s the like button?
I love reading your positive messages. Thanks for the follow and returning the kind gesture.
Hi, and thank you for the follow. Take care now.
Thank you for that!
Insightful explanation. So many points that I agree with you.
It is like surrender to anything. Don’t block things.
Let them pass to us unconditionally
both good
and bad
because things were always born in pair.
Clean – Dirty
Light – Dark
Beauty – Ugliness
Receive one thing
another must come.
Try to get only one,
stress comes.
Welcome them
let them pass us
and let them be.
Appreciate your post.

I am a retired librarian, and I have to say, I see a correlation here between what you’re talking about, and censorship. People come to the library, knowing what they want, and getting things they didn’t really want too. But then they see things they don’t think should be there and demand the library to remove them. But no one is throwing these books/materials at them. They can take what they want and leave the rest.
And you’re right! This applies to our lives too! If we don’t like what someone else is doing, it’s not hurting us to let them continue to live that way. No one is forcing us to live that way.
Thanks for a great post!
Wise words, thank you for sharing it.
Great example. I’m a former librarian too. 🙂
Reblogged this on John R Trevett.
Great analogy. I’ve read a lot about “resistance” with LOA before, but never as a supermarket shopping cart. Very creative–and on point!
Insightful words – Thank you, we all have our biases & the 1st step is to recognize that’s what they are & then as the song says “Let it be, Let it be, Let it be, Let it be” (& breathe)
Very true, and a good song! 😀
AWESOME ANALOGY! I love your thought process and your truth. I also want to thank you, for reading my blog. Keep telling it like it is!
